The purpose is to transfer power from two engines ТV3-117VМ/VМА (VR-252, VR-80, PVR-800-1,-2), AI-450, Allison, Arrius (VR-226N) to two coaxial rotors and helicopter accessory with the corresponding change of the rotation speed.

The main gearbox circuit is fixed-ratio, planetary (VR-252, VR-80) and multi-flow (VR-226N).
