TRANSMISSION FOR LIGHT HELICOPTER «AKTAI»


The transmission consists of the main gearbox VR-10, tail rotor shaft HV-10 with a fan and a brake and the tail gearbox HR-10.

Purpose - transfer of power from the VAZ-4265 engine to the main and tail rotor and heli­copter accessory gearboxes with the corresponding change of the rotational speed and the values of torque as well as aerodynamic forces from the main and tail rotor shaft through the gear­box housings to the helicopter fuselage.

Type of gearboxes:

  • main gearbox - three-stage arrangement, first stage is conical, second stage is cylindrical, third stage is planetary;
  • tail gearbox - one-stage conical.
